In a city near Erfurt Germany in a burned out and abandoned hotel this room sits quiet amongst the bustle of the busy city outside, slowly it is being reclaimed by nature and no one knows of the beauty that sits inside this abandoned building only a few feet from the sidewalk.
The hotel suffered from a fire 3 years ago but it was purchased by a man who used his brothers stolen passport to obtain the loan. The hotel is just sitting in idle decline while the German courts try to decide who ownership of the property belongs to now.

I can only say that this work of art goes beyond beauty and composition and transports one to the reality and spontaneity of life. It is a subtle reversal of emotions. At first brutally shocking yet draws the viewer quickly into a euphoric state of pleasure and tranquility. History combined with hope. The cycle of destruction and birth in an eternal dance witnessed within the confines of a moment. The stark contrast between brilliance, shadow, and the out of context object adds to the mystery which excites the mind of the viewer to ponder the meaning of life. Beyond this words become meaningless.
Hey there! I have been wondering, since im going to erfurt in a few weeks, if you could tell me where exactly this burned out hotel could be found i would love to go there and take a look myself :3
